Singer Bebe Cool says he tried to instill nationality into the late jaaja Iculi and warn him against attacking politicians in vain.

The late Isma Olaxess alias Jaaja Iculi was laid to rest yesterday 7th May 2020 in Nkokonjeru. Many influential people as well as artistes were present at his send off and many were deeply saddened by his early departure. Among the many that attended was musician Bebe Cool who also took the opportunity to say something about the deceased.

Bebe Cool said he  contacted the late blogger Isma Olaxess a few days before his murder, to warn him about his social media commentaries and choice of words. He said that he had attempted many times to warn the deceased to tone down his harsh political views to no avail.
According to Bebe Cool, he even called Isma three days back to talk about the video he had made about the fallen Minister but he never picked or returned the call.

“I have been talking to him many times. About three days ago I called him to talk to him about that video he made about the Minister, but he didn’t pick the call,” said the singer.

Bebe Cool further said that he tried to tell Isma to be more patriotic and focus on his love for Uganda rather than making money. He also mentioned that he is the one that taught Isma to love his Country, something that needed a lot of convincing from him.

“For a long time, I have discussed with him about different issues of national importance. I tried to teach him to focus less on money and more on the love for his country. It took me a long time to convince him that Uganda is actually a good country, because he had lived for a while in Sweden.” Said Bebe.

The singer also said he wished that Olaxess was involved in another occupation rather than social media and vlogging, as this might have been the major reason for his demise.

“Unfortunately, social media tends to blind our judgment. Perhaps if he was a farmer or a musician, he would still be alive.” Said Bebe
