For the first time this season, Tottenham Hotspur's bitter North London rivals Arsenal will be supporting them as they host Manchester City in the Premier league.
Tottenham Hotspur defeated Burnley 2-1 on the weekend and confirmed their relegation back to the Championship. Burnley winger Jacob Brunn Larsen opened the scoring but Tottenham's Pedro Porro scored the equaliser seven minutes after and defender Micky van de Ven scored the winning goal.
This win means Tottenham are now four points behind fourth place Aston Villa and their Champions League hopes could still be alive as long as Liverpool don't get less than a point from Villa park.
Manchester City also defeated Fulham 4-0 and briefly topped the Premier League table before Arsenal's scrappy 1-0 win against Manchester United took them back at the top of the table. Two of Manchester City's goals came from their defender Josko Gvardiol while the other two came from Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez.
Even with their impressive form, Manchester city have never won a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur in their new stadium. But rumors suggest Tottenham supporters are happy for that record to be broken if it means no title parade for their North London rivals Arsenal.
Manchester city have played 36 games so far this season. They have won 26 times, drawn 7 times and lost 3 times leaving them in second place with 85 points and a point behind league leaders Arsenal. Manchester city's match against Tottenham is their game in hand and if they win, they will be in control of their title destiny on May 19th.
Tottenham Hotspur have also played 36 games. They have won 19 times, drawn 6 times and lost 11 times leaving them in fifth position with 63 points and four points behind Aston Villa. Tottenham require nothing less than a win in order to have a chance of qualifying for the Champions league.
Tottenham will be without Richarlison, Timo Werner, Ben Davies, Manor Solomon, Ryan Sessegnon, Fraser Forster and Destiny Udogie.
Nathan Ake was subbed off during Manchester City's match against Fulham. However the the Dutchman's injury has not been specified, but he was in visible discomfort. It is unclear whether he will miss this match against Tottenham. He could be the only absentee from the squad should Jack Grealish recover from the illness that kept him out of Saturday's game.
