Lawyers, family and friends of National Unity Platform (NUP) members Ssegirinya Muhammed and Ssewanyana Allan arrived early at the Masaka High Court for the case hearing of the two MPs, hoping they'll be granted bail.
The MPs of Kawempe North and Makindye West constituencies respectively are being suspected/accused of fueling the Masaka killings that happened in August and are now detained in Kitalya prison.
For close to two months now, the lawyers of the two have been doing all possible things to see that their clients get bail, siting that it's a constitutional right they deserve, and that they're Ugandans operating in Uganda so they can't run off.
However, for the nth time, the Masaka High Court judge, Lawrence Tweyanze has toady also denied the two prisoners bail, stating that their getting bail will distort the ongoing investigations and that they mighr as well refuse ti return for court hearings.
