Ever since the terrifying and deadly pandemic of covid 19 ignited, the government of Uganda drastically took in radicle measures to constrain the spread of Virus. Among the stringent measures ordained or enacted by Government were closure of all non food supplying businesses which include saloons, Garage for automobile repair, Hardwares, fashion malls etc.
The drastic measures saw most of the ugandan population hastily evacuate Kampala city market centres into their homes for quarantine.
It was such an indescribable tensile moment that pushed musicians like Bobiwine, Spicy Diana, Apass, Khalifah Aganaga, Bebecool into music studios to record comforting and sensitizing songs for their fans and fellow Ugandans about the deadly disease of covid 19.
Unfortunately, Gereson Wabuyi commonly known as Gravity Omutujju with a differing perspective insinuates that it wasn't the appropriate and right step took by musicians to record songs. Most of the Ugandans due to the quarantine decree are unemployed with nothing to feed their families, and all they need in this harsh and trying moment is food not boring songs Gravity hissed.
According to Gravity, most of the Corona songs are boring giving an example of Bebecool's Corona Distance song mostly criticised for its boggy introduction and Kalifah Aganaga's stanliser song condemned for its tittle "stanliser" .....a word with no meaning...... Gravity articulates that no one can listen to music on an empty stomach urging fellow musicians to help people with basic needs like food not songs.
