Ministry of health permanent secretary Dr. Diana Atwine has come out to express her disappointment towards Ugandans who according to her, are very ungrateful people.
Dr. Atwine during an interview explained the risky conditions many health workers are going through to provide treatment to covid-19 patients. "Of all the good things the health department has done, Ugandans have chosen to accuse us of not being to deliver." Said Dr. Atwine.
She went on to remind the public that many of the health workers are rendering services without being paid. "Many of the health workers are still demanding their salaries which have delayed but continue to treat the sick. Ugandans should at least first applaud us before pointing fingers."
The country is in a second total lockdown of 42 days, given the high rate at which the new wave of covid-19 has been spreading. This has put the health sector to one of its greatest tastes, as many health facilities have run out of oxygen and people are dropping dead.
This and more other reasons have triggered Ugandans who have started demanding for answers from the health sector. What do you think the ministry should do?
