Have you ever seen a cute couple post their photos on social media?
When you check the comments, 18/20 Ugandans have commented "it will end in tears." Have you ever wondered why?
When a musician posts their achievements or plans, 5/10 of the comments from Ugandans will be negative or abusive.
When someone tries to succeed, 7/10 Ugandans will not be supportive, will wish them the worst or want that person not to prosper.
Everytime, you find a group of Ugandans gossiping, it's always the negative/bad things about a person or a situation.
The number of Ugandans with toxic behavior such bullying, quarrelling, fighting, being negative has increased to 65% over the past year.
We understand that 2020 was a terrible year but that doesn't mean you should turn into a terrible person.
Based on scientific research, negative people do not want to be negative alone and thus try to spread the negativity to others.
What can you do to improve on yourself as a person?
1. Show love to others by being kind, uplifting them, complimenting them among others.
2. Be positive in all situations even the hard ones.
3. Do activities that make you happy. Exercise has shown to improve one's thoughts by releasing the happy hormones to the body.
4. Have plenty of sleep and find ways of preventing/releaving stress
5. Seek help from professionals such as counselors or psychologists who have training on how to help you go through hard times.
We hope with the above, you will be able to be better person. Aim to be better than you were yesterday.
