Earlier today, prime minister Rt. Hon. Robbinah Nabbanja requested ministers and other government officials to embrace passing of information to Ugandans through the different social media platforms and other nedia houses.
"I call upon all ministers, and all government officials to start utilizing the social media as a medium of communication. You should use these platforms and inform the public about the good things the government has done and still doing or else they'll not know." Said the prime mininster.
The country is however under a ban for facebook, which again has the most users in the country and both ordinary and government officials are currently using it illegally. It's ironic of the minister isn't it?
The minister also went on to tell them to use the different media houses like Radios and Television stations as another avenue to pass on government related information to people.
