We don't have Fred Lumbuye - Enanga
    • August 9, 2021 • 4 years ago

The name Fred Lumbuye has been on almost every Ugandan's mouth since Friday last week for both good and bad reasons. The notorious online political blogger was rumored to have been arrested in Turkey and was set to be deported back to Uganda with immediate effect.

However, Lumbuye's arrival can be equated to the long awaited return of Jesus christ, as his is also not happening very soon. He was reporte to be jetting down in the wee hours of Saturday morning via the Turkish airlines but since now, no one has set eyes on mr "chemical Ali" as he's commonly known as.

This has prompted security organs to come out and clarify on the issue and first was the spokesperson of the Uganda Police, Fred Enanga who while addressing journalists said they do not have Lumbuye in any of their prison cells.

"Many people are coming out to claim that Lumbuye Fred is in the country and he's being detained in one of our cells. This is not true and we don't have Lumbuye. He however has 15 cases to his name and by any chance we get hold of him, we'll put him infront of courts of law to answer for his crimes." said Fred Enanga.

The Immigration spokesperson Mr. Jacob Siminyu also clarified that they have not seen Lumbuye Fred anywhere but incase he's sited, he'll surely be handed over to the law enforcers. In the meantime, unconfirmed sources say Lumbuye is currently still in Turkey and was arrested as an illegal immigrant.

This is where we pose a question. Did the minister of foreign affairs Hon. Okello Oryem go ahead and lie to the whole nation or these are the daily political games to diverte Ugandans off some other important issues?
