Following the second partial lockdown of 42 days that saw schools closing again, the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has come out to clarify on a few things concerning the future of the education sector.
While paying a visit to New Vision offices, the UNEB delegates headed by the board's spokesperson Alex Kakooza informed the public that results for 2020 P.L.E and U.C.E are soon to be released.
He also warned schools who plan to ask for more fees from parents who had already cleared fees before the second lockdown to desist from it. Kakooza however informed the public that the board needs around 20 billion Ugandan shillings to create study materials for learners.
"We've managed to set up study programs for radios and television especially for lower primary classes. We're planning to avail other study materials too. It's at this moment that we inform the government that we need 20 billion to facilitate these programs." Said Mr. Kakooza.
