"We're tired of sweet talking people about things they're already aware of. Police has been as linient and patient enough. It's time to use force now." Said Uganda Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga during a media address.
This comes after Ugandans especially vendors have consistently flocked arcades and other vending centers in the city center, irrespective of the total lockdown as declared by the president a few days back.
Yesterday, many police officers were seen using forceful measures to disparse the growing crowds of people, in the name of enforcing the president's orders.
Enanga also clarified about cars moving with stickers, warning all car owners planning to forge them from Nasser road not to dare risk. "We're going to provide stickers to essential workers with barcodes that can be identified by our machines.
To all those planning to forge stickers from Nasser road, our machines will get you and you'll have to answer where you got the sticker from."
