City socialite and sumbie hawker, Shanita Namuyimbwa also known as Bad Black recently came out through a TV interview to talk about why her wedding failed to happen.
She said, due to the resurgence of the corona virus in Uganda that was killing people day and night ever since early May of this year, she decided to call off her planned wedding.
The Corona affected a lot of her invited guests who were losing loved ones every other day and hence this was a bad time to hold a happy event yet her guests were in very sad times.
To make the situation worse, the President of Uganda also announced a 42-day lockdown, further stopping the movement of people from one place to another which did not spare her invited guests who were still in Kampala while she was abroad in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
So it's from here that Bad Black made the tough decision to postpone her entire wedding ceremony and bring back her self to Uganda since flights are still allowed to operate despite the nation being in lockdown.
When and where was the Bad Black's wedding supposed to happen
Bad Black was supposed to get married on the tropical island of Zanzibar in Tanzania in a coastal themed wedding attended by a selected portion of her closest friends.
In early June, she said she did not want a lot of people at her Wedding venue especially those that are unmarried because they would bring a lot of "bikolimo" to her meaning "curses" when translated from Luganda to English.
Bad Black and her soon to be husband, Asha Panda Katende had even travelled to Zanzibar as early as June 16th 2021 to finalise their wedding preparations as they also relax on one of the East African island's resorts.
Who is Bad Black's to be husband
Bad Black who many believed will never settle down and be in a proper marriage mysteriously found her current boyfriend, Asha Panda who is now eligible to be her husband at the close of 2019.
This was after she had just broken up with her ex-boyfriend, Sky West whom she broke up with after failing to find happiness in their relationship.
