Innocent Nahabwe, the owner of Galaxy FM, a leading radio station in Uganda was arrested last week because of violation of covid 19 SOPs.
Some of his Galaxy FM staff were also arrested in the operation and they include; DJ Nimrod, DJ Deno, Ludie, and Sakalaman together with other party goers that were present at 911 club based on Salama Road in Munyonyo.
They were arrested last weekend in the whee hours of the night as police carried out endless raids on bars in the areas of Buziga and Munyonyo.
Over 30 people were arrested from different bars in the area as they "ate their money" and on Monday 15th November, were arraigned at a magistrate court in Makyindye division, Kampala.

But the Galaxy FM Boss denied the story behind the arrest
Innocent as his name says, told journalists outside court on Monday that he was not arrested in the bar like DJ Nimrod and friends but he was rather called in to assist the police in investigations since he is the owner of the 911 bar which was illegally operating.
This was shortly before him and the other 30 party animals were sent on a bus straight to Kitalya prisons until Friday 19th November.

During their days in prison, different celebrities came out to condemn the arrest saying that it was unfair.
Crysto Panda, a presenter at NTV Uganda said that the police was acting seggregatively in its recent arrests of people violating the covid guidelines put in place by president Museveni last year in March.
Crysto said that he sees a lot of his fans and friends enjoying parte after parte on social media and doesn't understand why they are also not arrested and this is when he ordered the police to release DJ Nimrod, his boss and their friends unconditionally.
Why didn't Gamba Nogu save Innocent Nahabwe
Let's first dive into the Ugandan dictionary.
Who is a Gamba Nogu?
This is a person who you can give a phone call to save you from prison, when you have been arrested by police for violating covid restrictions in a bar in Uganda.
Being a CEO of one of the biggest radio stations in Uganda, one would expect Nahabwe to have a lot of important people he knows (the gamba nogu's) who would save him from any trouble.
Surprisingly, the important people he knows were not very helpful last week because he actually spent 5 consecutive whole days in jail.
This sent shockwaves through some people like The class monitor on twitter who had this to say
At the beginning of this week, they arrested dj nimrod and a whole radio owner innocent nahabwe coz the were found in bar past curfew, nimrod just got released recently but you without a gamba nogu you're in a bar just because you have your friend with a subaru...@classmonitorUG
