"he who laughs last laughs best" is a saying on Muhammad Ssegirinya and his fans as the Electoral commission ruled in his favor. "Mr Updates" as he normally calls himself had been taken to court by his competitor in the recently concluded parliamentary elections over issues of little academic papers.
Ssegirinya was being accused of having less academic papers by Sulaiman Kidandala Sserwadda who was also vying for the Kawempe North seat.
However, the returning officer for Kampala Electoral district Barbra Mulimira cleared the air and said that Ssegirinya returned his nomination forms with proof that he sat for form four and form six from Pimbas Secondary school.
Ssegirinya is currently remanded in Kitalya prison over cases of staging unauthorized riots in the city center. Wherever he's sleeping tonight, he'll surely sleep a happy man.
