A few years back, Ugandan writer Kakwenza Rukirabashiaja fled Uganda for fear of his life as soon as he got a chance. Word has it that Kakwenza literally smuggled himself out of the Country in a bid to stay alive after he poked at the ruling party, finding fault in their rule.
For the longest time, Kakwenza had continously published literary books against the regieme, outing their corruption and lack of transparency. He always publicly called out the government and the President of the country even via his social media, stating that dictatorship had to end in Uganda.
As soon as he fled, many believed Kakwenza was to go into hiding forever but to the shock of many people, he has still been active online, most especially on Social media platforms like X and Facebook and he has still been throwing jabs at the regime.
The exiled writer Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has come out once again with an open criticism as he has taken to his X account to deliver a sharp criticism towards President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni while giving praise to United States President Donald Trump’s inauguration speech.
In his post, Kakwenza praised Donald Trump for focusing on American people's interests rather than his own personal benefits. He further stated that Trump is a wise leader who has assembled a competent team to accompany him in office.
“Mr. Trump’s inauguration speech is all about working for Americans. It is not about himself or his personal gains,” he wrote.
According to Kakwenza, Donald Trump is rather admirable because he has even come up with methods on how to achieve the vision he has for America and he chose the right team to help him in ensuring his vision is indeed reached.
He was therefore very quick to compare Donald Trump to Ugandan President Museveni, stating that Museveni is just an idiotic despot who only wastes precious time threatening the opposition of the Country and filling his stomach with porridge greedily. He further harshly compared the Ugandan president to a pig to the shock of many netizens.
Kakwenza further claimed that the Ugandan President has not shown any interest in developing the Country and he therefore is a man of no vision as well as poor governance.
Known for his never ceasing criticism of Museveni’s government, Kakwenza’s remarks highlight his dissatisfaction with what he perceives as the president’s lack of vision and governance.
