ANDREW MWENDA STRIKES AGAIN: Promises to go to court if Museveni signs Anti-Gay Law!
    • March 24, 2023 • 2 years ago

The talk about Homosexuality took over in Uganda, atleast for the biggest part of this third month of the year.

Latest in those series is veteran Journalist Andrew Mwenda who vowed to petition the constitutional court incase President Yoweri Museveni assents to the recently passed Anti-Homosexuality Bill.

In his rant, while appearing on NTV The Spot programme with Patrick Kamara, Mwenda explaining that the bill is not only redundant but also stupid explaining that the its impossible for the state to regulate morality as the new bill seeks to do!

"If Museveni signs that Bill, I promise you I Andrew Mwenda, I will go to the constitutional court to challenge it" he said questioning where the problem is if he sits in the privacy of his bedroom with a fellow man and they are both consenting.

If the Bill is signed into law, this will be the second time Mwenda will be running to court seeking the nullification of the same law. The first time was in 2014 when it was nullified over technicalities.

In the same manner, social media was ablaze following his stand on the matter. Being a top dog in the Muhoozi Kainerugaba famed MK Movement, netizens wondered where this will him in the midst of his boss Muhoozi who is totally against the vice!

With all this in play, the big question that remains is - will the President sign the Bill into law? If yes, what happens to the fallen aid that is associated with Human Rights who the west funders claim to house the liberty of the LGBTQ community!

    Lets watch the Space!
