Annet Nambooze popularly known as Anatalia Oze lost the election for Lord Woman councillor for Rubaga division.
This seat was won by an NUP candidate and this has come to be known as the umbrella effect.
She was quite confident this year that she would win because of the love the people of the area had shown her but the ballots did not say the same thing.
She had stopped working on her show UNCUT to concentrate on politics but since all did not go as planned, no one knows if she will go back to the show.
Another NBS anchor who quit her job to join politics Joyce Bagala passed through as a woman member of Parliament For Mityana District beating the former ICT minister Judith Nabakooba.
Joel Ssenyonyi, a former NTV employee who quit his job a year back to join and be the spokesperson for the NUP party bagged his sit as the Nakawa West MP.
Other celebrities who lost in these elections include Rwamititi, a spark TV presenter who only got 102 votes, Kato Lubwama, who lost due to his selfish greed among others.
However, there are also other celebrities such as Dr. Hilderman who beat Amelia Kyambadde, Geoffrey Lutaaya among others.
