For a couple of years now, Nike shoes have been trending in Uganda. From airforce ones to Nike dunks the streets of Kampala are flooded with these shoes.
To an extent that some of us call them sneakers or kicks. Many stores in Kampala and Uganda generally have opened up and are selling Nike shoes but are these shoes genuine, thats the question that we all ask our selves. Lucky enough I have got the solution to that question and below are the things you should consider if you want to know that you're kicks are authentic;
• First and foremost you should check for the price of the shoes and compare them to that of the normal retail price. If they are a fraction of the retail price, they're probably fake.
• Check the packaging. Authentic Nike shoes come in high-quality packaging with all of the appropriate branding. The box should be sturdy and well-made, and the shoe labels should be clear and legible. Counterfeit shoes often come in low-quality packaging with poor printing or missing labels.
• Check the materials. Authentic Nike shoes are made from high-quality materials, such as leather, suede, and mesh. Counterfeit shoes are often made from cheap materials, such as plastic or synthetic leather.
• Check the stitching. Authentic Nike shoes have neat and uniform stitching. Counterfeit shoes often have sloppy or uneven stitching.
• Check the logos. The Nike logo on authentic Nike shoes is clear and crisp. Counterfeit logos are often blurry or poorly printed.
• Check the serial number. Authentic Nike shoes have a unique serial number inside the shoe. You can check the serial number on Nike's website to verify its authenticity.
If you're still not sure if your Nike shoes are authentic, you can always take them to a Nike store for verification or visit their website for more information.
