Audio Review: Omwoyo by Liam Voice
    • October 12, 2021 • 4 years ago

2021 might not yet have brought us a lot that we want to remember in a few years from now, but the impressive rise of Liam voice as an RnB star is one of the few exciting things to happen. Also known as Voice boy, Liam surprised the local music industry right from his breakthrough single “bus” which started to break records on streaming services and reached number 1 on most Radio charts especially when it comes to music of the heart. His latest single “Omwoyo” The only question that always pops up is, “Is Liam Voice a one hit wonder or did he just launch another big hit?

In Uganda When an artist breakthrough with a massive hit, releasing a follow up is always tricky business, because it is virtually impossible to top your own success. Liam voice might not top the numbers ‘Bus’ did with ‘Omwoyo’, but I am convinced this song is only going to help him build his brand as a star. Produced by Warren/Rk Records this tune was born in the same theme of love with a similar build up and a vibe reminiscent of some as Bus. The chorus is a big swaying one with Liam’s emotive vocals belting away over a soaring melody 0ne should expect to hear a lot over the coming months.

Liam Voice already showed how he can paint a vivid picture with his lyrics. The story in this song he sings of how is feels special to be the choosen one for his lover and that even in the afterlife his spirit will keep fighting for their love. I guess this was the inspiration for the tittle Omwoyo which in loose translation means spirit. Very relatable, especially for her fellow teenagers out there.

I am fully expecting ‘Omwoyo’ to further cement his name as one of 2021’s main stars. The first signs are already there that this is going to be another major streaming hit.
