There have been very many rumors going around regarding the book containing songs that the late Mowzey Radio left behind with penned projects that he had lined up to release but never got a chance to due to his sudden death.
Taking you way back, after the demise of Radio Mowzey, there was news of a hard drive containing music demos that was left behind by Mowzey Radio with a few personalities like Producer Benon coming out to say it was in the hands of the deceased's music partner Weasel.
Weasel who had been his singing partner on the other hand was heard saying he was not the one with the hard drive, saying he did not even have any knowledge on this issue whatsoever. Well, a few years after the World Mourned Radio, Weasel himself came out to state that the hard drive was in his hands and if anyone was willing to get a song off of it, they needed to purchase it.
He also made a statement saying that the only people who were exempted from paying for these songs were those that took part on this project. As we speak, there is now word of a book hat contained music ideas by the late Mowzey Radio and it is alleged that the new song dubbed ‘Masavu’ from Azawi came from that Mowzey Radio book, which goes against the laws of copyright infringement.
Weasel has been throwing jabs since yesterday via his Facebook account, stating that he is soon exposing the masterminds behind the theft of a few lyric ideas from this mentioned book to create their own songs and make them sound original. Following these allegations, Azawi has come out to exempt herself from them.
While speaking to Sanyuka TV in an interview, Azawi explained that however much it would have been a privilege for her to sing a song that was penned by the legend Radio himself, it is not true that he wrote the ‘Masavu’ song. She further explained that she personally wrote the song herself without the help of any musician or song writer.
"The song 'Masavu' wasn't written by the late Mozey Radio. I would have loved for it to be true, but unfortunately, it's not. I cant accept this when I know that it is not a fact" she said
Masavu has gained Country wide popularity and many netizens that have heard this song have stated that it is honestly a masterpiece.
