Barely a month since over 11 people died as a result of a Stampede at Freedom City Mall during the new year celebrations - another Stampede of a kind has claimed lives of 2 juveniles in Koboko.
According to Reports, the incident happened at Khorido Disco hall in Ombachi cell in the north division of Koboko Municipality in the wee hours of Friday January 27th. Authorities further reveal that the said disco was operating illegally at the time.
According to Police, one of the victims - Halima Ochogoru, was identified whereas her colleague had not yet been identified by press time. Ochogoru was a former P7 candidate at Ombachi Primary school.
“The two girls died from Pioneer Medical Centre where they were taken by good samaritans after becoming unconscious from the disco hall,” The North Division Chairperson Moses Lemeriga said.
Prior to their death, provisional medical al reports show that Ochogoru's neck was was strangled while the other deceased suffered a twisted neck.
The deceased's bodies are currently at the Koboko General Hospital Mortuary for further Postmortem!
