Talk of being a "voice for the voiceless?", Bebe cool has come out to request H.E the president of Uganda Y.K Museveni to ease the ban on the entertainment industry, given most of the initially banned social gatherings are now operating under S.O.Ps. The wakayima singer took to his social media yesterday to show how the industry employs a number of youths, from bar owners, waiters and waitresses, bouncers, music promoters, DJs among others and these have suffered a great loss during the lockdown.
Bebe cool went on to suggest that curfew should be adjusted to start at midnight, bars to follow A.O.Ps and allow a certain number of people. "It's time for music to co-exist with Covid_19 and we can still beat Covid." He said. However, this comes after the country registered two more deaths and the death toll stands at 101 and the infected ones are 11443 as of Sunday, 25th/October. Will the president listen to the plea of the Muzzukulu? Let's wait and see.
