After images of his children and other relatives preparing to leave the country leaked yesterday, presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has been brutally criticized for his act by many, some claiming it was a cowardly move and others said he betrayed the struggle he's always preaching.
However, his supporters also didn't let him take blows alone as they came in big numbers to defend him, siting that even the incumbent president Museveni took his family out of the country during his revolutionary war in the 80s.
Earlier today, the main man came out to speak about the situation in a long post he shared on his social media plus a video. In his post, Kyagulanyi said his family has always been threatened since he took on politics.
"I've been getting inforu about their planned attack on my family for so long. During the Togikwatako saga, a grenade was thrown at the window to my son Solomon Ssekayi's room and messages telling me to back off were left. My children have since been having patrols following them to and from school which forced me to change their schools.
Many of my colleagues, political and friends for long have been telling me to put my family away and we've been having disagreements until recently when I talked to my wife and we agreed to take the kids away. My friends in the diaspora offered to house my kids and that's why we agreed to take them.
It's now me and Barbie here, to continue fighting for the freedom of our country and infact all my kids are under age and don't vote." Said Kyagulanyi. Over to you, what would you do if you were Bobi Wine?
