Struggling businessman Lwasa Emmanuel has finally got some smile on his cheeks after receiving Shs 10m from Don Chris to settle his debts.
For starters, Lwasa is one of the tycoons that used to spend his money in bars and women. Every time he got a lady, he gave her whatever she wanted like a car and some times plots of land. However, his money kept on reducing and his businesses faded away. This is to the extent of failing to pay off his loans making bank put his properties on sale.
A few months ago, Lwasa came public and declared himself bankrupt and was on verge of losing all the property for failing to clear his debts that had accumulated overtime.
The former richman has been asking for financial help from well wishers saying he would be very grateful to revive his property.
On Thursday , May 02, the ex-city tycoon received financial assistance from Don Chris of Skypinz Tours & Travel of Shs10 million to help him recover his assets that have been seized by the bank.
Surprisingly Lwasa noted that this money is too little to sort even a quarter of his problems and instead he is planning to use them in buying bottles of alcohol.
According to reports from exclusive sources, Lwasa is currently owed close to a billion by Equity bank and other financial creditors who have since seized his assets including his Masaka night club, Tavern Kick and his vehicles among other valuable items.
Don Chris gave me Shs10,000,000 (Ten million), but that money is too little to fix my problems. I’m going to spend it on alcohol", Lwasa Emmanuel while taking part in a televised interview.
Lwasa also visited Pastor Bujjingo earlier this week and received prayer blessings to guide him through the financial challenges and find his footing again.
It was even reported the head of prayer ministries international gave him some money to solve some of his problems but he watered down the reports.
He said the rumour that has been going around that he got money to pay off his debts isn’t true. He is still in debts and needs a lot of money to clear them.
Lwasa put the point clear that e he hasn’t received anything from Pastor Bugingo and once he does, he will update his people.
According to the businessman, people like the president of Uganda and other fellow tycoons should be able to help him.
“I haven’t received any help from pastor Bugingo. I still need money to pay off my loans. People should stop confusingy ou,” he said.
