Uganda's most humble singer, David Lutalo has gotten angry for the very first time in his life. Rarely do you see this gentleman talk with such rage.
In a circulating video, the "Kapaapala" hit maker is seen cursing as to why he did not get a single coin when money belonging to promoters was being distributed by the government.
Citing the famous list of promoters that came out some time back, showing names like Abitex, Catherine Kusasira, Andy Events and others, he said a lot of people on that list were liars that just wanted to fleece the government of money.
This money that was about UGX 1.2 billion according to reports was given to the Ugandan National Cultural Centre according to its chairman, board of trustees, Okello Kelo Sam.
In a meeting last year, Okello confirmed having distributed the 1.2 billion using cheques to over 200 promoters in the country and even revealed how some hard hit artistes will also be compensated.
It is from here that our humble David Lutalo was not happy because, personally, he had not seen a single coin yet he normally organises his own concerts around January of every year.
Lutalo also pointed out some people on the List like musicians Catherine Kusasira and Bebe Cool whom he accuses of quietly eating money alone yet they are not promoters/ event organisers.
