FUFA trolled over fake Ugandan flag
    • January 2, 2021 • 4 years ago

Yesterday, Uganda cranes team had a friendly match with Cameron national team in the pre-CHAN mini tournament which is also the host nation.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw and wasn't that interesting a game. However, the highlight of the game was during a halftime break tweet shared on the FUFA twitter account.

"Despite the result at half-time in Yaounde, our flag is visible in the fans' end" read the tweet. Now, the flag attached to the tweet is where problems sprung, as it never at one point looked like the beautiful Black, Yellow Red. On top of that, it had a bird whose name we're yet to find out.

Then.came the angry Ugandans in the comment section, who expressed their anger towards the association and we managed to get some of the comments for you.

"Who put a young peacock on our flag? Even the colors don't match. I guess change is coming."

"You people who are our crested crane and replaced it with Kamuzinzi?"

"The flag must be suffering from Covid-19."

"And this tweet is still up??"
