After close to a week of huddling out in Mityana District, Police finally arrested Elvis Francis Juuko - the MC who manned the End of year show at Freedom City.
Juuko, is the man in question for having asked the audience to move out and go have a glance at the fireworks outside the mall, a move that resulted into a stampede that left 10 people dead.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SSP Patrick Onyango, Juuko was finally brought back to Kampala on Friday and is currently detained at Katwe Police Station, charged with rush and negligent acts.
Juuko's detention comes after, Abbey Musinguzi A.K.A Abtex, the show promoter was also demanded days back on nine counts of rash or negligent acts causing death Contrary to section 277 of the Penal code Act.
The stampede was as a result of use of a single exit to access the outside of the mall. According to Police, 4 other exits had been ordered shut by organisers.
