    Uganda is weighing and planing a sudden pardoning  of  prisoners or inmates with minor cases as it  continues to take measures to control the spread of Covid 19 caused by corona virus in the country.Ugandan prison Luzira enormously over crowded.

    Uganda's police  spokesperson Fred Enanga through a televised address hinted on the idea of pardoning inmates especially those prisoners convicted of minor offences, By doing so Uganda will fall in footsteps of USA, Ethiopia, Iran and Poland who also released their inmates with closely common reasons of;
    Fighting over crowding in prisons which seems to be  the main striking and structural problem in the control of spread of Covid 19.

    Provide more space in the prisons  for inmates who may need quarantining.

    The Poorer  Health of prisoners characterised by chronic conditions which makes the prisoners vulnerable to Covid 19 infection.Assembled Inmates Of Luzira.

    The spread of Covid 19 in Uganda is fortunately at slow rate with  18 confirmed cases  and the cases seem to be  in great condition of recovering.  but if the situation exacerbates the  Government maybe compelled to take into account Pardoning  measures.
