The sudden demise of former Rubaga South Member of Parliament, Comedian, Actor, and Musician Kato Lubwama on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, has left many in mourning. Following the announcement of his passing due to heart complications, plans for a dignified burial have been put into motion. According to reliable sources, Kato Lubwama's body will be laid to rest next week, in accordance with his own wishes.

"Kato will be buried next week on Wednesday. We agreed because he mentioned it to us. Over 20 people knew about it. He told everyone close to him that he should be buried after one week if he died."
The public will have had an opportunity to pay their respects and bid farewell to the beloved comedian. Lubwama's body was made available at the family home from Friday, where it will lie in state for two days. On Sunday, there is mass expected to be held in his honor at Lubaga Cathedral, followed by a public mourning event at the National Theater on Monday.
