Newly appointed Inspector General of Government (IGG) Betty Olive Namisango Kamya has come out on those mocking her appointment into the office, stating that she's the last person to have been awarded the office.
Kamya, who was the former minister for lands, was among the many who were appointed by the president, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over the weekend into top positions, alongside MUBS principal and economist, Ramadan Gobi who was named permanent secretary ministry of finance.
In her own words, the former presidential candidate said she's got new tricks she's going to use to catch all those embezzling government funds. "I know many Ugandans are making fun of me, saying I'm not fit for this office.
I'm going to surprise all of you and perform to my best. I have my tricks I'm going to employ and see to it that corruption becomes a myth in the country." Said Betty Kamya.
Well, like the saying goes, let's watch the space.
