Nakawa West Member of Parliament, Joel Senyonyi has been announced as the new leader of Opposition in Parliament.
This was revealed during a press conference held at the headquarters of National Unity Platform on Friday. NUP is the leading Opposition political party in Parliament.
The announcement was made by the Secretary General of NUP David Lewis Rubongoya and confirmed by it's party President Bobi Wine.
Joel Senyonyi replaces the Masaka municipality member of Parliament Mathias Mpunga who has been appointed as the commissioner of Parliament.
John Baptist Nabeshe retained his position as the Opposition Chief Whip and Mityana municipality member of Parliament Francis Zaake has been appointed as the minister of Presidency.
