Recently, musician Fik Gaza came out and confidently stated that he has been doing music for a while now and it may be time for him to stage a concert and enjoy a little time together with his fans. He went on to ask them about their suggestions for a venue for this concert of he is to stage it.
“I have been singing for a while now. I guess it is time for me to stage a concert. What do you think my people? What would you suggest as a venue for our concert?” Fik Gaza posted on his Facebook.
His question has generated many reactions via social media. His die hard fans have gone ahead to suggest different locations, stating that they are willing to come through even if he is to choose a large venue like Lugogo Cricket Oval. I kid you not, Lugogo Cricket Oval is one of the hardest venues to fill.
Some netizens however have come out to mock Fik Gaza, stating that he is still too raw in this music industry to stage a concert. They have even gone ahead to question how much anyone would be willing to pay to get into Fik Gaza's concert, with some mentioning that they would pay only a sum of 3000 UGX and some saying they would pay a maximum of 5000 UGX.
Musician Kalifah AgaNaga seems to be one of the critics that think Fik Gaza will not be successful at this attempt to stage a concert this early. Khalifah has come out to scoff at Gaza, saying he should not try to reach for the clouds when he does not even have wings to fly.
According to Khalifah, Fik Gaza is not capable of pulling off a concert, more so at the large venues that many people were suggesting for him. Khalifah believes that people have to ability to hype anyone online but when it is really time to show up, they never do!
Khalifah, via his Facebook sarcastically told Fik Gaza to proceed with his concert plans, as it could be an experience of a lifetime. He suggests that Fik Gaza might end up getting a reality check, just like what Hajjat Madina, the bibuuza hit maker faced.
Kalifah AgaNaga gave a brief yet realistic example of a past shameful encounter for Hajjat Madina when she was swimming on the clouds because of the success of her hit song “Bibuuza” in 2011 and she decided to organize a concert which ended up flopping despite the song’s widespread popularity.
“Please go ahead and do it. No one will stop you. Stage the concert. You will know that even Hajjat Madina once did a concert because of her one hit success but it flopped.” He said
