Former Kawempe North Member of Parliament contestant Sulaiman Kidandala has finally withdrew the charges against National Unity Platform (NUP) member Muhammad Ssegirinya. After the February 2021 general elections, Ssegirinya won Kidandala and became the new and current Kawempe North constituency MP which Kidandala rejected.
In his objection of the results, Kidandala claimed that Ssegirinya's academic documents were not authentic and he (Kidandala) had proof and was willing to go all the way to prove his case. This case kept going on until yesterday when Kidandala came out to publicly announce how he was no longer interested in the case.
Kidandala wrote to the registrar of the high court and declared his withdrawal from the case, stating that he is not willing to be part of those inflicting pain to his 'brother' Ssegirinya, who is currently in prison over alleged trison charges.
