After a worrying lengthy silence, embattled vlogger, Fred Lumbuye's father has finally opened up on his son's arrest.
Fred's father appeared on NBS Television and revealed how he had spoken to his son a day before he was reported missing.
According to the father of the troubled vlogger, his son, Fred was very fine a day before he was whisked away by armed men. He however confessed that his son had been recieving death threats from unknown people.
He requested the government of Ugabda to co operate with that of Turkey to ensure his son is brought back to the pearl of Africa safe and sound.
He said that his son may be tried for his crimes but that is okay with him since he trusts President Museveni to deliver justice and or forgive him since President Museveni is according to him, ' a good man.'
However, he distrusts the Turkish government which he thinks may kill his son and discard his body to the vultures. He therefore called for the deportation of Lumbuye to Uganda as soon as possible.
"I am here to request President Museveni and his government to cooperate with that of Turkey and bring Lumbuye in Uganda and face his charges in court while in Uganda. I don’t trust the whites in Turkey, they might kill my son and throw him away.” he said.
*National Unity Platform Speaks Out.*
Politicians subscribing to NUP, led by Bobi Wine disagree with Lumbuye's father's stand on whether his son must be brought to Uganda or not.
The party, which Fred Lumbuye belongs to Insists that 'no one is safe' even those in the diaspora. How much more dangerous would it be to expose Lumbuye to the government that hunts him.
Their voice echoes that of human rights activists who also insist Lumbuye should remain abroad and avoid Ugandan soil at all costs if he wants to live.
Lumbuye's whereabouts remain unknown after Police mic, Fred Enanga revealed they do not have the motor mouthed vlogger.
"Many people are coming out to claim that Lumbuye Fred is in the country and he's being detained in one of our cells. This is not true and we don't have Lumbuye. He however has 15 cases to his name and by any chance we get hold of him, we'll put him infront of courts of law to answer for his crimes." said Fred Enanga.
