Singer Lydia Jazmine has weighed in on the current rift between two celebrated Ugandan music producers, Daddy Andre and Artin pro.
It should be noted that the genesis of the ongoing chaos between the two producers is traced from the interview Daddy Andre had on Galaxy FM 100.2 during the Evening rush show.
While appearing on the show last week, Andre legally identified as Andrew Ojambo aired out his opinion about a number of producers in the Uganda's music industry currently.
One of the radio show host then tasked Daddy Andre to mention 5 producers that he thinks are the best at the moment . Among the names suggested for him was Artin Pro. He, however, quickly rejected the name.
Daddy Andre criticized fellow music Producer Artin Pro’s work, describing him merely as someone who mixes sounds like a DJ and lacks the producer’s touch.
“I wouldn’t call Artin an authentic producer. He’s more of a DJ producer. He can mix different things and come up with a banger beat,” he said.
When Artin pro came across such statements , he was not left speaking the same language and commented on this post on Facebook. He said that they will fear what they don’t know which was definitely directed at the singer.
Since then, several stakeholders in music industry have come out to give out their submissions about Andre's way of thinking. Many of course have disagreed with him.
Notably is the beautiful and talented singer Lydia Jazmine who took to her social media channels and defended Artin saying that he’s one of the best. And if “you see him” just run because he’s too good.
One of the netizens tried to argue about it and told the Kapeesa singer that Andre gave her her breakthrough hit, You and Me years ago. She stuck by her point and chose Artin over Andre.
Well, these producers are definitely different. They have all produced some of the biggest hits in the recent past and continue to do so. It’s fair to say that at the moment, few producers can compare to Artin on producing bangers.
Meanwhile Andre on the other hand also talked about Nessim. According to the singer/songwriter, Nessim is good at producing songs with an element of sadness.Whenever musicians come to him wanting such songs, he refers them to him
