Lydia Jazmine will be taking it to stage this evening for her maiden concert dubbed "first born" and she has continued to receive blessings from fellow musicians including Sheebah and Lilian Mbabazi who prayed for success in today's event

Musician Lydia Jasmine will be taking it to stage this evening at Hotel Africana, in Kampala.

This is Jazmine's first concert and she dubbed it "first born". She has since received blessings from different musicians including Eddy Kenzo, Rema Namakula among others.

"Ladies and gentlemen......This Friday....ku Hotel Africana come let's show Lydia jazmine some love. Be there or be no where." Rema wrote and attached Jazmine's concert poster

However today morning in a video making rounds on social media, Sheebah Karungi and Lilian Mbabazi prayed for success ahead of her concert.

Lilian Mbabazi and Sheebah Karungi visited her and offered her a bouquet and a deep prayer.

With their heads bowed, Sheebah Karungi, Lilian Mbabazi, and Lydia Jazmine are seen holding hands with other friends while seated on a bed.

Their gesture has since attracted mixed reactions on social media with a bigger section of netizens commending the act of unity among the divas.

Other netizens, however, have questioned the need to film the moment of prayer, noting that it should have remained private.

The singer has however revealed she has missed sleep for over two months preparing for this concert.

She has been up and down trying to create a great concept for her fans and meeting up with the organisers, sponsors and well wishers for her concert.

"I don't remember sleeping in over a period of two months. I have just been moving everywhere preparing for this big day. At times I sleep for only two hours." she partly said.

Jazmine started singing in high school, after she joined the school choir. Later she joined the church choir at the Passover Harvest Centre and at Watoto Church. When she graduated from high school, she joined a band called Gertnum, where she sang background vocals.

Later, the music group Radio and Weasel signed Jazmine to a contract as a back-up singer. She is the back-up vocalist on the songs "Ntunga" and "Breath Away". She later performed background vocal lyrics for Bebe Cool and Sheebah Karungi.

Her first single was a duet with Rabadaba called "You Know", released in 2014.

Lydia Jasmine was first managed by Bushingtone who even provided her with an opportunity and performed at coke studio's in South Africa.

However the two broke up and Jasmine found a new manager in Ronnie Mulidwa whom they worked together for over two months and jealousy fellow in over money.

Lydia Jazmine's concert is produced by fenon events.

NOWVIBA wishes her success in today's concert.
