Singer Maurice Kirya has shown gratefulness to his fans that stood beside him at his recently concluded concert dubbed Kirya Live concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel on September 8, 2023. It turned out a huge success as the turn up was good despite the fact that he barely advertised his concert In a bid to show his thankfulness, Maurice later came out to thank his fans for their unending support.
He further went on and also appreciated himself for the efforts, stating that he also knows what his audience wants which is why he invested in the event and in the end, he was not disappointed because his fans showed up for him.
“I know my people and what they want. That’s why I invested the little I had in my show and people came over and supported me,” Kirya said.
Kirya thanked his fans for the support and said the profits of the show would go towards supporting young talented artistes.
Kirya then stated that he is too thankful because his fans always support him. He mentioned that he would never resort to pulling stunts like many other musicians just to sell his concert. It is no secret that many musicians, such as Nince Henry, Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone, have used stunts in the run-up to their shows.
“It’s really embarrassing for an artiste to do a stunt for his or her show to sell out,” he said
