Ministry of health refutes claims of lifting ban on entertainment concerts.
    • December 16, 2020 • 4 years ago

"Ki Uganda kitunyumira" these words from Mudra's Muyayu song really come to life every day that goes by in the 256. With just less than 18hours since the unexpected release of Nigerian artists Omah Lay and Tems, now the government has come out to lift ban on concerts. Yes, you read that right.

In an update by the NBS journalists Canary Mugume and Daniel Lutaaya, the ban that has been in place since March, has been lifted and starting this Saturday, 19th December, events can go on to happen but STRICTLY following SOPs. These events are to happen during day, from 7am-7pm.

However, in a tweet published on the official Twitter account of the ministry of health, the claims have been termed as FALSE.

"The ministry of health would like to state that entertainment centers or concerts have NOT BEEN OPENED as being portrayed in the media. All bars, nightclubs and discotheques remain closed." read the tweet.

Well, whoever is fooling who, we'll find out soon.
