There is a video making rounds on social media, of a young man who staged a very emotional and beautiful marriage proposal to his girlfriend in a restaurant. When the lady in question arrived, she was shocked to set eyes on the love of her life standing in a heart shaped rose petal decoration while holding flowers for her.
While onlookers were seeing everything and cheering the gentleman on, the young lady, upon being presented with a ring turned it down and threw his flowers at him, walking away from the scene.
The gentleman was not only left speechless but also ashamed and heartbroken. The video attracted a lot of attention from netizens with some saying she should have taken the ring as not to ashamed him in public.
Well, Winnie Nwagi born Winnie Nakanwagi has come out and cautioned young babes who are humiliating men by turning down marriage proposals publicly. According to Nwagi who has suffered with relationships since she parted ways with her baby daddy, women will make men fear proposing because of their antics. She advised women to pretend and accept then, privately explain to the guys rather than humiliating them in public.
According to Nwagi, she would never be that heartless and go as far as shunning away a guy who has put in a lot of effort. She mentioned that such antics women are playing will make guys decline from ever proposing to the women they want to marry. She also mentioned that it could lead to men getting low self esteem and they may end up fearing to shoot their shots.
"Eh the way women are turning down proposals lately, its scary. Ok if you don’t like the guy like that, at least you can pretend and say YES, then break it down for him after leaving the place but that kind of embarrassment is not really nice. It is so mean actually. A guy out therewith low self esteem would never do it even if he loves his woman. At after all these videos going around. You gonna make these guys hate proposals. Bambi poor souls personally I wouldn’t do that to someone who has put in such effort. I would rather play it cool, then we sort ourselves after. in the most polite way possible." Winnie Nwagi said
It should be noted that apart from her baby daddy we never saw, Nwagi first publicly dated singer, Generale Zaabu formerly known as Joshua Czar’bu. However, the pair violently parted ways in December 2017. In an interview, Nwagi disclosed that the breakup disorganized her life, sending her into depression.
Later, she was rumored to have dated another singer, Patrick Musasizi aka Chozen Blood after their collabo together but currently, they are no more.
