The Member of Parliament , Budadiri County West, Mr.Nandala Mafabi on Thursday night almost made volcanic mountains to erupt at NTV a leading local TV Station located in Serena Hotel, Kampala.
Nandala was appearing on the weekly NTV On The Spot show together with another guest, Mrs.Nabila Sempala together with the show's moderator , Mr.Patrick Kamara. Nabilah Naggayi Sempala is also a parliamentarian and she is currently an MP for Kampala Women Parliamentary Constituency in the 10th Ugandan Parliament.
During the debate, things got heated up when Nandala started questioning Nabilas's legitimacy as an FDC member. He accused the female legislator of being a fake member of the political party FDC to which he belongs to.
Nabila in total shock also responded with fire because she was quite surprised how someone she was working with started to insult her like this.
Things got to the worst point when Nandala brought up the issue of the famous age limit debate that got Uganda on tenterhooks. He said that Nabila dodged all the parliamentary sessions at that time and that it would have been better for her to just come and say she supports the removal of the age limit instead of hiding.
After that statement, Nabila responded by saying she was on sick leave and it wasn't her intention to dodge the proceedings. It must be remembered that most MPs like herself in the opposition were on the side of NOT removing the age limit in order to prevent President Museveni from contesting again.
An angry Nandala again fired at her saying that why didn't she die in her sick leave! and this is where Nabila lost her cool and stood up, packed her belongings to get out of the NTV studios.
She nearly walked out on live camera but the show's moderator saved the day and held her hand, convincing her to stay behind and let Nandala's harsh words pass.
