At the beginning of this week, a video circulated on social media where a group of boys who had come all the way from Jinja to showcase their dance moves on Yolesa Ekitone on BBS tv were instead embarrassed by judge Alex Mukulu.
"You smell and I couldn't even watch your dance moves because your smell was overwhelming and shadowed your dance." Alex commented
This earned a laugh from several judges including Uganda's "sweetheart" Diana Nabatanzi whom Ugandans have felt pity for after she went through a rough time in the past few months with ex boyfriend Lwasa and her losing her voice.
This angered many people (both within Uganda and abroad) who decided in turn to help the boys be better.
Ugandan musician Bruno K got in touch with the boys and has been helping them achieve their dreams.
He promised them that they would appear in his new music video and did not stop there.
He took them for a haircut at a fancy salon; World Salon in Kansanga and took them to meet tv presenter Faridah Nakazibwe.
They also got a spa treat at Spamania Ntinda.
Ramah Kizito, the NTV style proejct presenter also bought for the boys new clothes while THE HUB, a phone selling company gave the boys free Smartphones.
An annoymous person sent the boys William Walker perfumes and each is estimated to cost 150,000 Uganda shillings
A Facebook page has been opened for the boys and has already gained 2000 followers.
Other musicians like Lydia Jazmine have decided to give a helping hand financially.
Lydia took a photo with them and commented "they smell good." on her photo.
A big thank you goes to Bruno for having such a big heart.
This really shows that when one door closed, another opened and it has bigger and brighter things ahead for them.
