Ugandan musician, Ceaserous famous for his "Dangerous" hit song back in 2016,has come out to say that during this lockdown period, only people abroad can support the local musicians.
He said this support comes in musically from the sales of music on the different streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal and others.

Streaming music in countries outside Africa is so easy due to the fact that over there, the internet is very available in some way, I did NOT mean to say cheaper but I meant to say it is easily accessible and it has very good speeds.
So good internet combined with a developed system abroad encourages streaming of music according to Ceaserous but however it does not mean those people abroad do not download free music because weirdly, the illegal downloads are more than the legal streams.

Now in Uganda where everything is upside down in terms of internet especially on the side of expenses, illegal downloads are the order of the day and Ceaserous stressed that since the market here is a consumption market, people cannot buy the music.

But according to me, the best explanation is that, people in Uganda are actually poor, even right now someone is starving somewhere because of lock down, so the thought of buying music rarely crosses anyone's mind, of course, ???? apart from the cheeky iPhone ????? users.
