A domestic passenger plane crashed into the waters of lake Victoria in Tanzania about 100 meters from the Airport!
According to authorities, the accident which happened on Sunday morning was due to bad weather and was shortly about to land northwest city of Bukoba.
Precision Air, Tanzania's largest private airline released a brief statement confirming the accident.
"The rescue team has been dispatched to the scene and more information will be released in 2 hours time" the Airline said.
By time of filing this story, no information was readily available in regards to the number of passengers on board the plane although Tanzanian local media reports indicated that around 49 people were oncthe flight from Dar es Salaam to the lakeside city.
