When Pastor Bugingo was brutally attacked by gunmen, the entire Country was thrown into sudden shock as the news started circulating, at first, it was announced that he was dead and he had been shot by various bullets.
Later however, the truth surfaced that he had got a few shots to his back but he was alive and it was his body guard that took the death shots while trying to protect him. According to Bugingo, he was entirely saved by God's voice as he got instructions from God to hide underneath the steering wheel and drive off to Mulago Hospital.
"As they fired, I started feeling cold from my back. Richard leaned on me and I heard the voice of the Lord instructing me to bend down. It was a frightening experience. The shooting continued and the voice continued to tell me not to shake myself to confirm to the attackers that I am dead. Next, another voice revealed to me that they were gone, I looked for where to start the vehicle and I drove up to Mulago hospital,” he narrated.
Netizens however are unconvinced by the story as they have kept on making observations about his narration, stating that it does not add yup so well. What has baffled netizens is that a man that has gone through so much ordeal is strong enough to even hold Sunday service.
This has led to conspiracy theories, stating that the Pastor was not shot at. Many have come out to ask him to undress and show his wounds to at least prove to the doubters that he went through the ordeal he narrated. However, he seems unwilling to follow through with this request.
“I will not undress myself for everyone to show the wounds sustained on my back. I have the injuries but this does not call for undressing for whoever wants to see and possibly make it a subject on social media,” he said.
