    Police tightens curfew rules
    • May 12, 2021 • 4 years ago

Whoever was in town in the evening hours of yesterday must have seen thousands of Ugandan on foot. Yes, it was not 3rd June and this people were not walking to Namugongo, they were actually walking to their places of residence!

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga had earlier released a document warning Ugandans about the reinforcement of curfew rules which according to him were no longer respected. "It has come to our notice that much as the curfew guidelines are still in place, Ugandans have completely failed to comply.

We're now going to reinforce the guidelines and all motorcycles got riding past 6pm will be impounded. Both the rider and passenger risk facing punishments like getting arrested or paying fines. Even vehicles riding past 9pm also will face the same punishments." Said Fred Enanga.

Petrol stations who give parking space to these motorcycles were also warmed to stop the habit or face risk of being fined. So last night was not only cold????, it was a #WalkHome edition.
