President Museveni and his advisors, who really advises the other?

The president of the republic of Uganda yesterday met with his advisors for the first time in Kyankwanzi  where they had camped for the Natioal Leadership Institute, to talk about the key elements of the NRM government. Among the presidential advisors present were Mark Bugembe alias Bichaman, who is the presidential advisor on the issues concerning the Ghetto, former Mawokota MP Amelia Kyambadde who is the senior presidential advisor on the industry sector among others.

The president during his speech, he "advised" his advisors to not only wait to give him advice but also work with different govenment bodies like ministries, RDCs among others to ensure that the core values of NRM are attained across the country. The fountain of honor also re-echoed the observance of the four core principles of the NRM ideology, putting much emphasis on social economic transformation and Pan Africanism.

“You as presidential advisers once you have got this contextual background of where we came from, then it is easy for you to find where you can make an input. Many of us can actually supervise the work of the RDCs, work with the minister, check some areas, go and talk to the people. You are not the ones implementing but you are the president to check,” he said.

The presidential advisors were all constantly seen nodding in agreement in whatever the president was saying, re-affirming the commonly thrown around statement that the president has advisors whom he instead advises.

Bugembe Mark alias Buchaman prased the president for always calling him (Buchaman), to find out what is happening in the Ghetto, regardless of his busy schedule. “We have come to discuss issues that affect the ordinary people, the ghetto people and the country at large…the President has been busy and it’s not like I have to see him every so often. But he gets time and calls me to find out what is happening on ground,” He said.

Ms Amelia Kyambadde also chipped in a word of assurance to the president that they're going to bounce back bigger and stronger. “Some of us had forgotten but now we are going to go as warriors from here,” she said in a rather convincing tone.

Once again a questioncan be posed after what the advisors diplayed in front of their head, who  really advises the other?
