In a document released from the executive director of National Council for Higher Education professor Mary J.N. Okwakol, the anticipated resumption of studying for continuing students has been postponed for more three months to an unidentified date.
According to the document, the council received a communication from the minister of Education games and sports, Hon Janet Museveni who’s also the first lady, stating that the scientific Advisory committee through the president advised that opening of institutions of learning for the continuing students be put on hold.
The document states that the three months are to help the health workers look for a “lasting” solution and also urges concerned parties to ensure learners continue with online studies. However, online studying has since proved a challenge to many who can't afford the gadgets, daily data and the terrible network.
This comes as a blow to excited continuing learners who were already preparing to return to school and some freshers who had already started flocking their university choices.
