Reagan Muhairwe commonly known as Ray G could be a musician but he once thought about being the president of this country.
He opened up on his early years saying he wanted to be the leader of Uganda and carried those aspirations until he made his first hit.
Ray G never believed he could make a fortune out of music because he knew it all starts with being a president.
In an interview with Galaxy TV , Ray G explained that he grew up with aspirations of leading the country. He had never considered pursuing music until his high school days.
The singer expressed his desire to serve the people through politics, but he believes that God has different plans for him, which he is fulfilling through music.
"Growing up, I wanted to be the President of this country. That was the only thing I aspired to be because I felt a responsibility to serve my people. I even used to ask my teachers if I could still become President while pursuing music," he revealed.
However, Ray G stated that he no longer harbors political aspirations and is fully focused on his music career.
Ray G also revealed he stopped going to school to cater for siblings education.
Ray G explained they were born ten children and the father had difficulties in catering for their school fees. He chose to drop out after his Advanced Level of Education and focused on music.
"I stopped going to school because of my siblings. I told my father to cater for them and I took on music because I knew I would make it big." he partly said in an interview with a local television.
Ray G believes he will one day go back to school and complete his studies.
"I believe one day I will go back to school and pursue further studies and it's something I am thinking about.

Ray G is a Ugandan singer and songwriter born on 12th June 1992.
He mainly sings heritage music in Runyankore. He started singing in 2009 while at school until 2014 when he broke through with his hit song "Amarari".
Ray G has shared big stages with international artists like Eddy Kenzo, Meddy and Jose Chameleone on the Johnnie Walker Highball tour in Mbarara.
He has also collaborated with music heavy weights like Bebe Cool, Voltage music, Spice Diana, Serena Bata, Levixone, Truth 256 among others.
