Banange aren't you also tired of the rumours like I am? For two years now we have been lying to ourselves that Ugandan singer Rema Namakula is pregnant.
The singer who got married to Hamza, a Ugandan gynaecologist in 2019 at a lavish wedding ceremony has been keeping us on tenterhooks expecting that she would be pregnant by now but up to now nothing concerning children has come out of their marriage.
But recently, the rumours spreading out from those who are close to Rema indicate that this time, unlike previous times, the 30-year-old is actually pregnant for her husband, Hamza.
This was vehemently confirmed by Evelyn Namulondo who is Rema's best friend and the two have been tight since the Eddy Kenzo days.
Evelyn told reporters that the lady is heavily pregnant and her belly cannot allow her participate in any photo shoot since she still has plans to keep the pregnancy as a secret, this was in response to questions about why Rema hasn't released recent "Eid" public holiday photos like she normally does.
Why is Rema hiding her pregnancy
The musician in light of her fellow female musicians who got pregnant last year has decided to also do things like them by hiding herself from the public eye until the baby comes out.
Notably, this hiding of pregnancy is a current trend among Ugandan musicians and it was started by veteran singer Juliana Kanyomozi* who suprised us with a baby boy last year out of no where meaning no one knew that she was pregnant.
The other musician is Vinka of Swangz Avenue recording label who also hid herself for some 9 months only to unleash news of a baby girl she has given birth to in January this year.
So when will Rema give birth
If this latest development is anything to go by, Rema will be giving birth sometime in November or December and this is because people have already estimated that she is between 3 to 6 months pregnant.
That is the level of following that this power couple of Rema and Hamza have, that Ugandans can now take their time to calculate how many days have passed since she got pregnant yet they were not there during the manufacturing process.
