    • July 13, 2023 • 2 years ago

Having put up a spirited performance last season and finished 3rd behind KCCA FC and league title winners Vipers FC, Sports Club Villa might have landed a whooping Shs 4bn sponsorship deal from a yet to be identified Chinese company.

SC Villa alias jjogo boys had its glory days that saw the club win multiple accolades, making it the most successful club in the land. These glory days however had been long gone until recently when City Oil proprieter Omar Mandela took over as club president.

Mr. Mandela hinted on the sponsorship during a fans leadership meeting held on Tuesday 11th.July.2023 at the Kamwokya based City Oil branch. The news comes at an opportune time when Villa had paused the renovation of their Muteesa II stadium.

According to the yet to be confirmed deal, the $1,250,000 (over Shs4.5B)$170,000 sponsorship will be officially unveiled on July 27th at the Wankulukuku stadium. (Shs617m) will be used to revamp the club's stadium while $80,000 (Shs290m) will mainly cater for the club's salaries.
