Snake invades parliament of Uganda and causes ruckus
    • August 15, 2022 • 3 years ago

The Parliament of Uganda is a very surprising and chaotic place sometimes. Only the least expected things happen there and it leaves netizens in awe, shock and wonder. Drawing back to the unexpected incidents that have happened in the Parliament, there was a time when a gentleman appeared on the gates of parliament carrying a human head , claiming he was sent by the then Speaker of Parliament, honourable Rebecca Kadaga Alitwala.

This caused chaos and multiple questions among the citizens and left them in shock. Another big incident was how pigs were carried and thrown right outside the parliamentary bulidung in protest. The pigs were painted and they were scattered everywhere.

The however most famous incident was the brawl that happened between members of parliament within the Parliament where the self proclaimed ghetto president Bobi wine stood on the table and unnecessarily did a 360° spin. His spin was beyond standards as it surpassed the late Michale Jackson's dance spin.

Now there is news that there  was drama at the Parliament of Uganda as a snake invaded the  Parliamentary gym. The gym which is meant to be  used by MPs and parliament staff has been out of service for a while and only started functioning after Covid-19 restrictions were lifted.

According to  sources, one of the cleaners was sleeping in the gym when a snake sashayed it's way out of its hiding place, swishing across the floor frantically. When the cleaner saw it, he raised his voice and made an alarm, alerting other staff members to come in and kill the serpent. It is however mentioned that this could have happened due to the fumigation that recently was done to get rid of vermins so the snake had to come out of its hiding place.

The snake was successfully killed  and done away with, however the phobia still remains. Not many people are willing to use the gym after this incident for fear that something more surprising may turn up from a corner somewhere.
